- Slotted nitinol technology similar to the Fathom™-16 Guidewire
- Stiffness profile is changed by increasing or decreasing the distance between the laser cuts
- Catheter flexibility profile is designed with a soft distal tip to aid in trackability and stiffer proximal end to assist with pushability
- Each microcatheter has 10,000+ laser cuts
The Direxion Microcatheter is available in six tip configurations, as shown below. The distal tip is available in four pre-shaped options: Straight, Bern Shape, J Shape, and Swan Shape. These shapes are designed to facilitate access to the most challenging anatomy. Direxion Microcatheters are also available with two radiopaque markers, 2RO, which is designed to aid in the delivery of detachable embolic coils during embolization procedures.
