Safety informations

WARNINGS

•   Do not inject contrast with a power injector through the Tuohy-Borst adapter, or when the tip occluder is in place. Damage to the vessel may occur.

•   Due to the thinwall construction of the multi-sideport catheter, care must be exercised during manipulation and withdrawal to prevent catheter damage.

•   Insertion through the wall of a synthetic vascular graft should be avoided. If introduction through the wall of a synthetic vascular graft is necessary, an introducer sheath must be used to prevent catheter damage.

•   Ensure that all connections are secure before use. Do not over tighten as excessive force may damage the product.

•   All therapeutic agents to be infused must be according to the manufacturer’s instructions of use.

•   This procedure should be repeated for the duration of therapy as directed by the physicians.

PRECAUTIONS

•   Manipulation of products requires fluoroscopic control.

•   Do not insert, manipulate or withdraw the multi-sideport catheter without the use of a wire guide.

•   Do not use a power injector with the dual check valve. Damage to the dual check valve may occur.

•   If resistance is felt between the vessel and the catheter, or between the catheter and the wire guide, do not attempt to use force, as the vessel, the catheter or the wire guide may become damaged.

•   Verify the cause of resistance by fluoroscopy, or remove the catheter and wire guide together. If there is any doubt whether the catheter or wire guide has been damaged, use a new catheter or wire guide.

•   The product is intended for use by physicians trained and experienced in selective catheterization techniques and interventional procedures. Standard techniques for placement of vascular access sheaths, angiographic catheters and wire guides should be employed.
